May I never forget 
That this human frame is your creation;

That you desire the best for me,
Even when life seems at its worst;

That your love for me is unfailing,
Whether or not I can make sense of the struggles that surround me.

That you are with me in the storm,
Whether or not you command its waves to be still.

Grant me the peace of knowing
That you are no less my shepherd
When I feel trapped in the valleys of despair
Than when I rest in green pastures
