Walking along the Water - how to join in
Instructions for Day walkers joining the party
From Sunday 17th September to Sunday 24th, a group of NWBA team members will be joined by friends and supporters
from our local churches as they make their way from Liverpool to Burnley along the historic route of the Leeds - Liverpool Canal. Their aim is
to arrive at Burnley in time for our Forum gathering on the afternoon of Sunday 24th.
If you would like to join them for a day or two walking, please follow these instructions
Decide which day(s) you want to walk. You can see the full itinerary
here
Contact the NWBA Office to let us know you are planning to join us (email admin@nwba.org.uk)
If you are travelling by public transport arrange your outward journey to the start point and your return journey from the finish point. (We can probably
arrange lifts to and from the nearest railways station - but please let us know if you need a lift)
If you are travelling by car, drive to the
finish point to arrive approx. 45 mins before the walk leaves the start point and park your car
We will arrange with other walkers for some drivers to ferry everyone to the start point
At the end of the day, those drivers who received a lift to the start point are asked to ferry other drivers back to the start to collect their cars
